ABOUT
THE JOURNEY

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

My journey with photography began quite early when my cousin handed me his camera for the first time. It felt like a small gesture then, but something shifted when I looked through that viewfinder.

I didn’t understand settings or composition. Yet the world seemed different and ordinary moments suddenly felt worth pausing for. What stayed with me wasn’t the photographs, but the lesson that even the simplest frame can hold a story without words.

Over time, photography grew into something more than a hobby. It shaped how I see, it taught me patience and it taught me to notice.

Portrait photography was where I first understood the depth of this art. A single face can express far more than just emotion and character. Capturing that balance between expression and authenticity became an obsession. Gradually, my focus expanded beyond faces into places and then to the quiet details of everyday life. Travel further deepened this connection, with every journey bringing in new cultures, landscapes and experiences, quietly shaping the stories I chose to frame.

I’m drawn to moments that feel quiet and balanced, where light, space and subject exist in harmony. Much of the character in my work comes from my fascination with vintage lenses.

There’s a sense of craftsmanship in these lenses that speaks to me on a deeper level, a connection to a simpler time when photography was more about patience. There is a certain magic in these timeless pieces of glass. Within their tiny imperfections, they carry a bit of history and by pairing them with modern cameras, I try to bridge the gap between past and present. It’s my way of honouring tradition while embracing innovation.

Every journey leaves behind a frame and a memory. This is where I share the ones that stayed.
